Farida sent me an email requesting for assistance as she searches for a special school in Antipolo. I couldn’t find anything online. I’ve also asked friends who live in Antipolo if they know some schools, they said they do not know any. For the benefit of those who have similar inquiries as Farida, I’m posting my response to her inquiry.

If you have intentions of moving your child to a school here in the Philippines, it would be best to secure copies of documents. These documents include recommendations and evaluations from your child’s developmental pediatrician, copies of your child’s current grades or report card (you’d get this from the school that your child previously attended or currently attending), copies of the birth certificate, and a letter that should include reasons for the transfer. Schools would usually require these information from transferees with special needs.

I’ll try to get more information. When I do, I’ll email you or will just leave a message for you on my blog – JoanCayton.com.

If the child is in an early intervention level or in preschool and has a mild case or possible for mainstreaming in a regular class, I suggest Montessori Integrated. If the child has a moderate to severe case then St. Catherine is the best for him/her.
