Teaching

A question was raised in class today. Should we use ‘I wish i was’ or ‘I wish I were’?
I googled the answer and I learned that both ‘was and were’, preceeded by ‘I wish I’, are both correct, however ‘were’ is more preferred by old english grammar books. The use of ‘were’ is often used to point to situations that are unreal.

Other people can listen to your playlist and you can also listen to other users’ playlist without having to download anything. But if you really, really, really want to download something from the site, you can.  I do not have an account with eSnips.com, but I always visit the site to play music for my classes.

I will be sharing another game that might be able to help you during your “extra time” in class.

The Categories game was derived from Scattergories. I just simplified the rules to make the game easier to understand and facilitate. (more…)

To maximize the class’ free time during training, I usually facilitate ice breakers or games. I will be sharing one game with you, it is something I derived from the Guestures game.

I am Joan and this is my first blog. I am a Diction, Intonation, and Enunciation Trainer for one of the leading call centers in the Philippines. I have the passion for teaching. I am inspired by our university’s founder St. John Baptiste de La Salle who is a great educator. Like him I want to teach minds, touch hearts, and transform lives. Although I am already achieving these in the trainings I facilitate, I believe I can teach, touch, and transform more lives through blogging.

Most of the blogs I will be posting will be leaning to Education and Training. I will also be sharing some ideas and insights about the other things I learned and now enjoy doing, such as events planning, cooking, managing and making money, and shopping. Rico, an established contact center professional in the Philippines will also be contributing some reviews and entries.

We encourage you to get yourself involved by leaving comments. Don’t be afraid post your feedback and even disagreement.

Happy reading!

Love,

Joan Cayton
